Vegetable soup

Soup in winter is just lovely. It warms you up and is also ideal to be kept in the fridge or freezer for some time.

Butter
Potatoes
Carrots
Leek
Onions
Parsnip
Cauliflower
beef stock cube
chicken/vegetable stock powder
Crème fraiche
Frankfurter sausages, Mettwürstchen

Cut all the vegetables in 3 to 5cm chunks and melt some butter in a pan. Add the vegetables and let them cook until they are slightly brown. Dissolve the beef stock cube in 500ml boiling water and add some of the chicken or vegetable stock powder to it. Give the stock mixture in a pot and add the vegetables, leave to cook/boil until the vegetables are soft.

Blend everything and season with crème fraiche, salt and pepper. Serve with sausages cut into 1cm pieces.
